In short, the room was overall good, and the staff were exceptional. I look forward to staying again in the future.
Rooms are clean and new and updated. The new pool is amazing and has a great area for every person. I think that the kids area is great and the entire establishment is redone in a nice way.
Parking was easily accessible and close to the casino. Walking into the event entrance, you notice the new carpet and the gaming layout is very appealing to the gambler. I felt lucky just walking in the door. Wide assortment of games and themes in the various gaming rooms which make it feel like this casino had more to offer than Mystic Lake Casino. People were cheering because they we're winning and this made me want to win too.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My wife and I were looking for food late at night, so we asked a guard. He took us to his booth and pulled out a map of the place, and thoroughly explained how to get there, and even offered the map!
We only came to play at the tables. There was a nice variety of tables however when we went (A Saturday night) the lowest $ for blackjack was $5 a hand. Partway through the night we noticed the pit boss changing all the $5 tables to $10 tables and asked if we could sit in at a $5 table and they grandfathered us in which was nice. The dealers were nice and fair as well. Later in the night we had food at one of the restaurants inside the casino and thought the food was a good deal for the money ($9 for chicken strips and fries).
The room we picked was a smoking room as the non smoking rooms with king beds were taken, but upon first entry it smelled fresh without a hint of smoke. Room was very clean. My only complaint was that some of the furniture was a bit tattered and the wallpaper above the shower was starting to peel; completely visual annoyances. But, as I understand, they're in the process of renovating the rooms anyways, so it was understandable.
We always come on July 3rd for the fireworks and it's spectacular. And the fact that every room comes with free waterpark passes is amazing
My wife will says just good in a future because she wants to catch me in local guide points and a pointeir star, but my review goes like this.....from coat check in to coat check out it's an amazing experience, especially if you're winning AND you will. The food aka buffet is to die for (or die trying all the deliciousness from appetizer to dessert) The entertainment is superb (perfect way to burn off the buffet calories) and the ALL STAFF DO AN EXCELLENT JOB making you feel comfortable. Well done treasure island keep up the complete package with award winning service.
